METRC, which stands for Marijuana Enforcement Tracking and Compliance, is the cannabis governance solution providing end-to-end tracking and tracing for all cannabis supply chain activities to dozens of states in the United States and helping ensure a closed, legal ecosystem.
In the state of Ohio, the Department of Commerce regulates all businesses involved in the production and sale of cannabis products. This includes cultivators and dispensaries. In 2016, the Medical Marijuana Control Program was created to oversee marijuana cultivation and distribution throughout the state. To help facilitate compliance with state regulations, the program has chosen Metrc to track all marijuana legally grown in the state of Ohio. From September 8, 2018 onwards, Metrc use has been mandatory for all cannabis licensees.
Distru offers a robust integration with Metrc’s API, enabling cannabis operators in Ohio to easily manage their business in Distru while staying fully compliant with the state-mandated track and trace requirements.Request a Demo
